Om opplevelsen
Svolvær is a great base, but the real magic of Lofoten lies further west. Join our small-group tour to Reine, Hamnøy, and Å — the most iconic and breathtaking villages in the islands.
Svolvær is great, we know. It’s a perfect base with plenty of activities, restaurants, and cozy places to stay — so it makes total sense why you chose to stay there. But coming to Lofoten and not taking a trip to Reine and Å is like ordering a pizza and only eating the crust — you’d be missing the best part.
Reine, Sakrisøy, and Hamnøy are the true gems of Lofoten — the villages you’ve probably seen on postcards, magazine covers, or all over Instagram. Trust us, they look even more magical in real life.
So, what are you waiting for? Join us for a relaxed, small-group road trip to western Lofoten — the most beautiful part of the islands.
A Sightseeing Tour to Reine: What to Expect
We can’t spoil all our stories (we like to keep some surprises for the road!), but here’s a little taste of what you can expect.
Each of our tours is slightly different — we adjust to the weather and the group’s interests. There’s no point stopping at a viewpoint if all you see is fog, right?
Instead, we’ll make the most of the day and chase the best light and views Lofoten has to offer.
We’ll pick you up from your accommodation in Svolvær around 10:00 am (or 9:00 am in winter). That gives you time to enjoy your breakfast — you’re on holiday, after all!
Once everyone’s on board, we’ll hit the road toward the western islands of Flakstadøya and Moskenesøya. We typically don’t make many stops before we pass Leknes (unless the morning light is too good to ignore).
Highlights Along the Way
Every day is a bit different, but a typical route includes stops like:
⭐ The view of Flakstadpollen or Killanpollen
⭐ A walk on Skagsanden or Ramberg Beach
⭐ A quick stop at the Fredvang Bridges viewpoint
⭐ The famous Hamnøy Bridge, with its red fishing cabins and mountain backdrop
⭐ Sakrisøy, with its bright yellow cabins and Olstinden Mountain
⭐ And of course, the classic Reine viewpoint at Reinehalsen
Depending on the weather, we might swap the order or catch some places on the way back. Flexibility is the name of the game in Lofoten.
Life and Stories from the Lofoten Islands
We’re not the kind of guides who throw dates and facts at you from a script. Instead, we love to share what life in Lofoten is really like — both the old fishing traditions that shaped Norway and what it means to live here today.
You’ll hear stories about storms, cod, tourism, and everyday life north of the Arctic Circle — from grocery shopping in 30 m/s wind to how locals deal with endless summer daylight and polar nights. It’s all part of the Lofoten experience.
